Katen – Shunsui Kyoraku’s Bankai Spirit

Katen Kyōkotsu: Karamatsu Shinju, the manifested spirit of Shunsui Kyoraku’s Bankai, brought into three dimensions with a dynamic, elegant and haunting presence.

Set upon a golden tiled floor, evoking the theatrical stage of Shunsui’s Bankai, Katen stands with her arm extended, holding her Zanpakutō. Behind her, a blooming Japanese cherry blossom tree frames the scene, echoing both beauty and tragedy — perfectly aligned with Shunsui’s character and the poetic cruelty of his power.
